QAS 2026 was held February 28, 2026 9:00 am to 5:30 pm at the Farm Bureau Pavilion at MSU, East Lansing Michigan
We had a wonderful show, with lots of laughter and fun as well as learning and joining others in a community in love with outdoors.
QAS 2026 was a good year for the Symposium. Over 920 paid attendees, 200+ students and youth, 106 exhibitors and their staff, as well as sponsors, volunteers, speakers, and guests, such that over 1500 people filled the Pavilion.

Congratulations to Peter Frank
Peter was honored with the Verlen Kruger Award for 2026. A key accomplishment was completing the Great Loop, going clockwise, in about 488 days of determined paddling and portaging. Checkout his journey at Peters Voyage on Facebook and follow him at his Facebook page Capn Frank. His voyage follows in the paddles of Verlen Kruger and others. Paddling Film Festival 2026 (Feb 27)
We showed a selection of this year's 2026 Paddling Film Festival World Tour brought to you by Drift and Roam Events and Quiet Adventures Society.
There were 6 Films including the award winners for Best Canoeing Film, Best Instructional Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, and a Special Jury Mention. Over 100 people joined us.
Designed by artists with your love for the outdoors in mind, this tee is amazingly soft, and will stay soft - wash after wash. Our shirts won't shrink either, so it'll be your favorite tee until you can get another QAS shirt next year.
